WHO IS OWL?
The motivation behind starting OWL Behaviour Consultancy was to support young people, their families and schools with behaviour challenges. Many barriers have been overcome by this move which has allowed a consistent, thorough approach, meeting the needs of young people as they arise.
Following 12 years of working within a variety schools with challenging behaviour, young people with disabilities, young people in public care all within Primary and Secondary Education. A flexible approach is essential, working in conjunction with home and Schools to ensure a consistent approach to enable strategies to be embedded where necessary.
The practical experience I have gained from Educational settings and home alongside a degree in Special Needs and Inclusion and continuing development with Child Behaviour Course, regular updates from Sebda (working together for children with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties) has ensured that the support is realistic and meets a young person’s needs at the time.
OWL has a separate safeguarding policy which is available on involvement with schools.
